“Uprooted” - jazz dance film
Jazz dance is one of the dance arts that makes Nia fun and expressive. Look at jazz dance through fresh eyes with a film screening and discussion of the film “Uprooted – the birth, lineage and legacy of America’s art form.”
The screening is a collaboration with Houston-based Frame Dance Productions and a small but mighty group of diversity enthusiasts, of which our very own Nia teacher, Yvonne Myles is a part. There are three ways to participate and watch.
View the film Uprooted any time from May 11 - 22; followed by an online discussion Saturday, May 18 hosted by the DiversiTEA Collective. Go to Eventbrite for full details and to purchase a ticket.
