A Final Farewell

On Sunday, April 2 our Nia community wished a final farewell to our dancing sisters, Micheline Rosenfeld and Liz Gans. We gathered in our familiar sacred space - Studio NiaMoves - to remember, reflect and support. What a delight to see so many precious friends together, celebrating the joy of movement and the joy of life.

Participants had time for quiet introspection before we shared memories, prayers and poems. We then held the space for a Nia Jam with Yvonne, Julie, Sarah, Peggy and Helen leading songs. We closed with more memories, and a final song made complete with instruments shared from Tina.

We continue to send healing to our community and Micheline’s and Liz’s families and will continue to provide a safe space for moving forward on the dance floor. We cherish the connections we have built with YOU, the members of our collective, and hope to see you soon.
